Mark Brazier - Bull Tahr, Southern Alps New Zealand

Mark Brazier

Born & bred in the New England area of New South Wales, I have always had an interest in firearms, shooting, hunting, outdoors and traveling.

At 19 I travelled to Africa on my first African Safari and I was hooked. I have been lucky enough to hunt in New Zealand, New Caledonia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mongolia & Australia. I lived and worked in New Zealand and have travelled to Mauritius, Fiji, USA, Kenya, Tanzania & China.

I have a wonderful wife (Kathryn is a travel agent) and 4 boys. I look forward to the day when they can come hunting with there dad and enjoy the great outdoors and everything in it.

I have always supported shooting and hunting clubs, both locally and internationally. At the moment I am Treasurer of Safari Club International - Down Under Chapter.

Neil Brown

Neil Brown - Brown Hyena, ZimbabweHunting History & Experience: I am a very active hunter and just love getting out there. Through out my life I have always hunted in one form or another and always enjoy ethical hunting no matter where, when or what species of animal. I have hunted all different species of animals throughout Australia and New Zealand (11 hunting trips to NZ) with several hunting trips to Asia, North America and Africa (8 safaris to Africa). Along with the knowledge and experience I have gained, I have also build up a great network of contacts throughout Australia and overseas to keep me informed on hunting and game issues world wide. I find all of this very important when advising other hunters on where, when, what and with who they should hunt.

Involvement in Firearm and Hunting Organizations:

  • A member and Vice President of Safari Club International Down Under Chapter
  • A member of SSAA
  • A member of NSW Deerstalkers Ass.

  • A Committee member of the Federation of Hunting Clubs
  • Past Councillors of Game Council of NSW, "R" licence Tester
  • Firearm Safety & Training Officer for the Firearm Safety & Training Council of NSW

Mick Watts

Mick Watts - FiordlandMy interest in hunting and travel really started 1980, and from that time, I became an avid bowhunter and travelled for my first overseas hunt in 1992 on the North Island of New Zealand.

I live and work in Orange, the Central West of New South Wales.

Having hunted the South Pacific 15 and I took my first big game animal, an Asiatic Buffalo in 1986, at age 19, in the Northern Territory. During the last 30 years, I have continued to bowhunt, but have also discovered the joys of rifle hunting and wingshooting since 2001.

I have hunted and travelled, to the Northern Territory, Queensland, Victoria, Flinders Island, NSW, North and South Island of New Zealand, Argentina, New Caledonia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.

The highlights of my hunting career, which there has been many, include taking a Chital Stag with bow & arrow in 2003, an Eland Bull with a single arrow in 1998, Cape Buffalo in 2005, and on self guided backpacking hunts in 2007 taking a Fiordland Deer in Fiordland and a good Sambar in Victoria's high country.

Along the way I have also travelled to Fiji, Vanuatu, Bali, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Canada and USA (23 states). I have also trekked the Grand Canyon, Oxley Wild Rivers, Lamington National Park, Yosemite National Park, Mountain Gorilla's in the DRC, and have rafted the Zambezi River, Colorado River, White Nile River and the New River (Appalachian Mountains).

I am a member of the Australian Hunters International, Safari Club International Down Under Chapter, Fiordland Wapiti Foundation, Australian Deer Association, Trophy Takers Bowmen of the Bush, RIDGE Inc, and the Orange Clay Target Club.

Through my involvement in hunting, locally and overseas, with all weapons, I have made numerous friends within the hunting industry. This enables me to keep up to date with latest hunting trends. Along with hunting in many terrains and in the weather extremes, I can draw on my experience to recommend to hunters the best gear and equipment to use, and through our contacts and relationships built with the guides / outfitters we represent, assist our hunters on when and where to hunt for that trophy of a lifetime.
